Terms
These terms cover newquest.app, the dashboard, and the MCP server at mcp.newquest.app. Using any of them means this is the deal. It is short because the product is simple.
Awaiting legal review. This is how we actually run, written by the person who built it rather than by a lawyer. The trading entity is not registered yet, so the sections that would name a company and a governing law are still open. We would rather say that out loud than invent a jurisdiction. When the review lands, this page is replaced and re-dated, and you get told before anything material takes effect.
Who we are
New Quest is a product of Quezzies LTD. Contact is hello@newquest.app.
What New Quest is
A story-state engine. It stores your world, indexes it, and answers questions about it over MCP so the AI you write with stays consistent across a long book. It generates no prose and calls no model on your behalf. Any text your AI produces is between you and that provider.
Your account
You need an account for anything beyond the public pages. Accounts are for one person; sharing a login is how a world gets overwritten by somebody you did not expect. Keep your sign-in safe and tell us if it gets away from you. You must be 16 or older.
Your work stays yours
You own your book, your world and everything you put into New Quest. We take no licence over it beyond what running the service needs: storing it, backing it up, indexing it for search, and serving it back to you and to the AI you connect. That permission ends when you delete the data.
Publishing a character card or a tier list is the one exception, and it is your choice each time. Publishing lets us show that page to anyone who has the link, and lets other people see and share it. Unpublish and the page goes immediately, though a screenshot somebody already took is beyond anyone's reach.
The AI you connect
You connect your own model, on your own account, through MCP. That relationship is yours: their terms, their pricing, their privacy policy, their behaviour. We hand your data to the client you authorised, and we cannot control what it does next. Revoke a connection from the dashboard whenever you like.
Fair use
Do not use New Quest to:
- store or publish anything illegal, or anything that sexualises children
- harass a real person, or publish a card built to do it
- break into other people's data, or probe for a way to
- resell access to the API or the MCP server as if it were yours
- hammer the service in a way that degrades it for other writers, or work around a plan limit with scripts
If any of that happens we will say so and, where it is serious, suspend the account. You get your export either way.
Plans, prices and payment
Payment runs through Stripe. Plans and allowances are on the pricing section of the home page and are the current, authoritative version. Founding prices are honoured for as long as a subscription stays active and unbroken. Cancel whenever you like: access runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part of a period by default. If something went genuinely wrong, email us and we will sort it out rather than hide behind this paragraph.
Storage is the meter that matters, because compute here is negligible. If you pass your allowance we tell you, and reads and exports keep working while you either tidy up or upgrade.
Availability
Pre-launch software breaks sometimes. We keep backups and we say so when something goes wrong, but there is no uptime guarantee yet. Keep an export of anything you would hate to lose. The export button is one click precisely so that sentence costs you nothing.
Ending it
Delete your account whenever you want, from the dashboard. If we ever need to end things at our end, other than for the serious misuse above, you get notice, a window to export, and a refund of anything you have paid for time you will not get.
Where the limits sit
New Quest is provided as it is. We do not promise it will suit a particular book or never lose a byte. Where the law allows a limit, ours is the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the problem, and we are not liable for lost profits or for lost work you had an export button for. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including fraud.
Changes
These terms will change as the product grows up. The date at the top moves with them, and anything that materially affects you is emailed before it applies. Carrying on using the service after that is acceptance.
Governing law
Not yet stated, because the trading entity is not yet registered. Naming a jurisdiction before there is a company to sit in it would be theatre. This section will name one, and you will be told before it takes effect.
